Welcome to the Museo do Pobo Galego web page. For those who already know us, we hope that you like this new version. We opened new sections and added new informatiion about our museum.


Where we are

The Museum of the Galician People occupies the former convent of San Domingos de Bonaval, located just outside the walls of the old town of Santiago de Compostela, near the Porta do Camino, the gate through which the pilgrims of the Camino Frances entered the city of the Apostle.

The architectural features of the building of San Domingos de Bonaval, home of the museum, could challenge visitors of reduced mobility. The Board of Trustees of the Museum of Galician People have adopted all feasible measures to ensure universal access to its public faclities,and those wishing to avail themselves of this assistance should contact the museum in advance. However, such assistance is not yet available for access to the Church of San Domingos de Bonaval and the Pantheon of Illustrious Galicians which are not part of the Museum

Museum prices

Ordinary ticket:
4 euros

Reduced rate:
1,50 euro (over 65, students over 18)

Free entrance:
Museum Members (companion 3 euros), students under 18 and unemployed

Groups of 6 or more:
3 euros per person
